What Networking Globe does
Networking Globe lets an event organizer display where participants come from on a shared 3D globe. The separate demo page uses only bundled fictional people.
Data you provide
A participant provides a display name or nickname, country, and an optional city. An organizer signs in with Google and provides an event title, URL slug, and optional dates.
- Participant email, direct messages, employer, and social profiles are not requested.
- Display name and origin are visible to people viewing that event.
- A short-lived signed cookie remembers a participant on the same device.
Hosting and technical logs
The application is hosted on Vercel and event data is stored in Supabase. These providers may process request details such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for delivery, authentication, abuse prevention, and infrastructure logs.
Analytics and third parties
The application does not load advertising pixels, social widgets, or third-party analytics. Google is used only when an organizer chooses to sign in. Map assets are served with the application.
Retention and removal
Event organizers can remove participant entries from their dashboard. For event or account deletion requests, use the contact details on the linked portfolio site and identify the event URL.
